Today the new Safeguest website goes live. New design, faster pages, clearer answers — and one thing stated plainly on every screen: Safeguest is built for short-term and vacation rentals. Not hotels.
Short-term rentals are a different business to hotels
Hotels have a front desk. Somebody is physically there when a guest arrives, checks a passport, takes a card imprint, and watches who walks through the lobby at 2am. Short-term rental hosts have none of that. You have a keybox or a smart lock, a guest you have never met, and a property that is empty until the moment they walk in.
That is the gap Safeguest was built for. Everything we do assumes:
• Remote check-in. Nobody is standing at the door to check who turns up.
• Mixed booking sources. Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo and direct, all with different guest data.
• Small teams. One person often runs 5, 50 or 500 units with a cleaner and a phone.
• Real homes. Damage is personal, and replacing a sofa is not a line item in a hotel refurb budget.
Who we actually work with
Airbnb hosts, holiday-let owners, serviced accommodation operators, short-let property managers and vacation rental brands — from single-property owners to portfolios running on Guesty, Uplisting and Hostfully. If your guests arrive without meeting anybody, you are who we build for.
We are not a hotel PMS, we are not a channel manager, and we are not a front-desk system. We sit alongside the tools you already use and handle the part that happens before the guest arrives.
What is on the new site
SafeGuest Prevent. Guest verification and risk checks before arrival, so you know before they knock. Free for hosts.
SafeGuest Protect. Optional cover for eligible direct loss on verified stays, with a No Deposit Option for guests who would rather not have a Damage Deposit held.
Clearer answers. Plain-English pages on how verification works, what Protect covers, what it does not, and what your guest actually sees. No jargon, no legal maze.
Partner pages. Dedicated setup guides for Guesty, Uplisting and Hostfully, with Hostaway, OwnerRez and Lodgify on the way. Search your tool on the partners page and you land on the right guide.
Behind the scenes
The rebuild was a small team, a lot of coffee and a very long list of host feedback. The biggest note we heard, repeatedly: “Most guest-screening tools sound like they were written for hotels.” So we rewrote the whole thing in the language hosts actually use — bookings, turnovers, cleaners, deposits, parties, OTAs.
Have a look
Start with Prevent if damage and unknown guests are your worry, Protect if deposits and disputes are, or book a demo and we will walk your portfolio through it. Everything is designed around one idea: you should know who is coming before they knock.
